Sai, NCSSR and IIT Delhi sign Mou to give a boost to a broader use of sports science and innovation in India

Under the guidance of Hon’Ble Minister or Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya to promote the Indian government Atmanirbhar Bharat Vision, the Sports Authority of India’s (SAIs) National Center of Sports Science Research (NCSSR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Tuesday with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, to collaborate in the Innovation of Sports Science.

The MOU will promote interinstitutional coordination and focus on the development of indigenous sports equipment, sports science devices and advanced technologies.

By minimizing the dependence on imported tools and embracing them on its own cultivated solutions, this initiative corresponds to the campaign of the government of India ‘Garv S swadeshi’-in particular within the sports sector.

Speaking of the partnership, said sports sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya: “This partnership reflects the ministry’s dedication to integrate science and technology with sport to enable Indian athletes and to ensure that they are equipped to compete internationally at the highest level.

«Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advocated the use of Swadeshi products, and this collaboration is perfect for his vision.»

This collaboration is expected:

  • Facilitate high -quality research in sports sciences and engineering

  • Promote innovation -driven projects for the performance of athlete performance

  • Enter knowledge exchange between leading experts and institutions

  • Contribute to injury prevention and well -being of athlete

De Mou was signed in the presence of Shri Hari Ranjan Rao, secretary, sports, Myas and Prof. dr. Rangan Banerjee, director of Iit Delhi. The MOU was signed by the NCSSR Director-Cum-Head Brig. (Dr.) Bibhu Kalyan Nayak, on behalf of Sai and Prof. dr. Ashwini K. Agrawal, Dean (R&D), on behalf of IIT Delhi.

Deleveliness Keepers present during the MOU -STATING CEREMONE were prof. Deepak Joshi, Prof. Biswarup Mukherjee, Prof. dr. KK Deepak, Prof. dr. Anil Varma, Dean (International Programs) and Prof. dr. Neetu Singh, Head (CBME), all from Iit Delhi.

Coincidental with the MOU signing, Shri Hari Ranjan Rao, secretary, Sports, Myas, also inaugurated the newly established Biomechanics laboratory in IIT Delhi.

This facility is equipped to conduct advanced sports science assessments and biomechanical research. The lab will play a crucial role in providing scientific insights into athlete movement, optimizing performance and reducing the risk of injuries.

Ciscce and Bihar seal their stains in the Subroto Cup Sub Junior Boys (U-15) Final

The semi-final of the 64th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, Sub Junior Boys (U-15), brought two lively competitions in Bengaluru, while Minerva Public School (CISCE) and Vidyachal International School (Bihar) booked their places in the final.

In the morning conflicts, Minerva Public School (CISCE) showed their all-round strength to overcome St. John High School (Jharkhand) 6-1. Bickson scored twice (3 ‘, 50+2’) while Mahesh (8 ‘), Kipgen (20’), Remoson (45 ‘) and Haokip (50+3’) were added to the count. Jharkhand fought hard and Ashish managed to score in the 48th minute, but Minerva’s sharp finish turned out to be decisive.

Vidyachal International School (Bihar) Rand Fits River Side Natural School (Madhya Pradesh) 4-1 in another exciting match. Bihar’s attack was well distributed, with Rohit (18 ‘), Pabhat (34’), Kunal (49 ‘) and Shivam (50+2’) all on goal.

Lokesh hit Madhya Pradesh in stopping (50+3 ‘), but it was too late to change the result.

With Cisce and Bihar, the Sub Junior Boys (U-15) Final is claiming an exciting confrontation on 11 September 2025, at Air Force Station, Yelahanga, Bengaluru.

Both teams have shown great skills, energy and balance on their way to the last, increasing expectations for an intense finish of this part of the prestigious tournament.
