Day 97 enters the waterfalls

Day 97 enters the waterfalls

18.95 miles
From the Williams cabin site (Mile 1294.4, UND 3709)
To follow the Ridge camp shortly before Mt Humboldt (Mile 1312.3, UND 6745)
5230 Ascent
Descend 2173

I spent a stream in the morning with Columbine tons just about several waterfalls. I could have enjoyed simply hanging out there all day under the sun.

Waterfalls

Speaking of waterfalls, I also spent the signal that indicated that he had left the mountains and now he was in the waterfalls. According to the sign, the difference is how the earth formed. In the Sierras (Square formation), igneous rocks are plutonic, formed underground. I guess magma also creates many metamorphic rocks. I am the waterfalls, the rocks were formed on the surface of the volcanic action.

I’m not really tired, just trying to relax

1300

I also spent the 1300 mile mark on the path just after entering the waterfalls. And although Belden’s escalation was long, he did not feel so bad for me, having divided it in two days.

Organized Lassen Meeting

Organizing to meet with friends at Lasen was difficult to use only Garmin Inreach messages. They are usually slow, difficult to read in my inreach (a lot of displacement on the small screen), often presented out of service, and did not transfer through Bluetooth for hours.

So, when I got to the top of the climb, I discovered that I had cell service and only called charity. In five minutes, we had viable meetings plans for Lassen.

Fire scar

At one time, he turned 360 degrees and did not see a single living tree. At least the undergrowth is beginning to recover from the fires.

Food and water

Today I was hungry, but otherwise very good. He ate a couple of additional snacks, leaving my pantry low.

The soil is very dusty. I fear that my tires will be seen in blacks tonight from dust. I did not plan my water either. I didn’t have enough in the last spring. I’ll be fine, but I won’t drink much tonight.

Camp

There were some comments about Farout discussing views from tents on a crest. I found a flat place in a window between rocks and had spectacular views towards Lassen.
