The new head coach of Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou, said on Wednesday that he was humble and excited by his appointment in the Premier League club and decided to bring it back to his «rightful place» in English football.
The 60-year-old former Australia manager replaced the Portuguese boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who was fired by Forest on Tuesday after a malfunction in his relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Postecoglou led Tottenham Hotspur to his first major trophy since 2008 when it won the Europa League in May, but he was fired in June after the disappointing 17th place in the Premier League last season.
«I am excited and I am looking forward to it, and I am really happy to be here. This club has real ambitions, and that is important for me. Lihat juga ygm2. We have an exciting team,» said the coach Forest TV prior to the Premier League collision with Arsenal.

Forest, which won back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980, will appear for the first time in 30 years this season in a continental competition, the Europa League, for the first time in 30 years.
The English champion in 1978 won the promotion back to the Premier League in 2022 and will be in the top flight in a fourth consecutive season.
«Other clubs that have won promotion have difficulty staying in the competition, but in a short time we are back in Europe and compete for awards, which is a good honor for all those involved,» Postecoglou added.
«I feel that the club wants more, and that is certainly what I want, so I think it’s a really exciting time. I am honored and I am humble, but more importantly, I am determined to ensure that this football club takes its rightful place.»
