The new recruit Yoane Wissa from Newcastle United will have to wait for his debut after an injury to international service had explained him from the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, said manager Eddie Howe Friday.
Wissa was signed for a reimbursement of 55 million pounds ($ 74.43 million), after a long -term transfersaga in which his previous club, Brentford, repeatedly rejected Newcastle for the attacker, which led to an impasse.
The 29-year-old played this month in a few world cup qualifications for Dr. Congo and scored against South Sudan and Senegal before suffering a knee injury.
Asked if he would be fit to face in the home game, Howe told reporters: «Unfortunately not, no. He will not make this game. I saw him for the first time yesterday. He feels the effects of the injury he sustained just before he got rid of it. So we can give a specialist.

Wissa, who scored 45 goals in 137 Premier League performances for Brentford, and the signing of club records Nick Woltemade will be given the task of leading Newcastle’s attack and filling the boots of Alexander Isak after the move from the Sweden to Liverpool.
«An established Premier League goalkeeper is very hard to find and hard to recruit. He (Wissa) has great qualities, he had an excellent year, not only last year, but rather, so he has a history of scoring goals,» said Howe.
«He did well against us and has been a difficult player for us to tackle when we came to him, and I really admire the journey he has made to get to this point because it was not easy for him,» he added.
Howe added that midfielder Jacob Ramsey was also set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in the 0-0-drawing game of Newcastle with Leeds United.
«His ankle swelled during the break and he had to get off. Unfortunately I think he will miss until after the next international break, so that’s a big blow,» he added.
Newcastle has had a bad start to his league campaign with only two points of the opening of three games.
