Burned roads walking on the CDT.

This morning I put alarms quite early. There was definitely no possibility that it would last in my strange camp on the road. While it could have been invisible at night, that was not necessarily going to be the case once the sun came out. So I made sure to pack and get out of there around 6 in the morning. That way, I would not see me as an absolute lunatic who broke the camp in daylight.

When I walked again on the road, the sun began to appear and it was beautiful. The sun rising over the vast culture lands in the distance was really something. Although it was just a road walk, it was still a very pleasant start for the day. I was not sure if I would camp much along this route. When I am walking along the road, I have no trouble spending the night in the cities if the mileage is aligned. Especially when we are only talking about four or five days of continuous walk. In general, it is much easier and safer to do it instead of loading near the cities. Especially alone. But I think all the things considered perfectly worked perfectly.

The dawn on the road this morning was really beautiful.

When I left the place of my camp, I also knew that I was just 4–5 miles from the small town of Harrison. What didn’t seem much, but it seemed to have a restaurant. So I thought I could have breakfast this morning. As I approached, I had the great idea of calling my breakfast. That way I didn’t have to lose 20 minutes sitting and waiting. I realize that it is something incredibly obvious, and yet, I had barely thought about that. I called an egg and sausage cheese with weapon fighters. And then he arrived at the restaurant about 20 minutes later.

Vast fields and bright pink sunrises.

The place was very nice and the ladies were very friendly with me. It smelled of baked fresh cinnamon rolls, and you don’t think there was a tray of them sitting on the counter. Then, of course, I had to ask for one of those too, and a hot coffee to wear. The only inconvenience of my recent caffeine consumption is dependence. Now that I have been using it a little more frequently, I am a little tired in the morning when I stay without him.

I loved this sign for the place of breakfast in the city.

Everything was quickly ready, and I took my food in motion. I ate the hashbrowns and cinnamon while I was still in the city. That way I could throw the containers in which they entered. Then I took the sandwich to enjoy later and drank my coffee while walking. It is not very difficult to pack a cup of cardboard coffee after finishing it. It was really nice to walk with coffee during the following miles and drink it slowly.

A happy camper!

That was an excellent way to start the day. And from there, the miles continued to pass. Another exciting thing was the fact that it would happen at least one small town over the course. Possibly even two before Ennis. Even if I don’t want or need anything, it is really good to have the option to stop at a store. That is typically one of the positive sides for walking by road. But depending on where you are, not all road roads with exciting features like that.

This cinnamon roll was the pure sky.

I just had to walk for a couple more hours before entering the city of Norris. That either had too much interest. But I had a Sinclair service station where I went. Inside I grabbed some of drinking and also obtained two ice cream. One was a coconut palette, which was delicious. And the other was a kind of chocolate -covered ice cream cone. I took the last on the way and continued after that. It was also great to be able to use the bathroom inside.

The road crossed just on the Bozeman path. I had never heard about.

Honestly, one of the most difficult things to walk by road, apart from the lack of water sources, it must be the lack of good places to urinate. It is much easier if you are a boy and everything is a little faster and less obvious. But in many of these highway sections there is nothing to barrice it from the line of vision. Not even a small bush sometimes. So most of the time I have to wait for a period in traffic. That can be super weird. And sometimes the cars are very fast and I stay fighting. It is not as if it were the end of the world for someone to drive for you. But while it is a necessity, I still don’t think people appreciate seeing it.

I felt good when I left the service station and continued along the way. There were some adorable children across the street of the service station gesturing with their arms so that trucks and cars were horn. I love that game. I greeted them and the father is one of the children began to talk to me. He and the other guy who was or curious about what he was doing. I talked to them a little before continuing. Although in the next mile or two, one of the boys would stop in his car and continued asking some questions.

Entering Ennis! It was lovely that today was a «shorter» day, thanks to my day of 45 miles yesterday.

It was a good guy and was very curious. He invited me to spend the camp later in Ennis and share stories with them. Which is a really pleasant thought, but I know I’m going to be exhausted. A few very long weeks have passed. I feel really good and I think I am maintaining something that is sustainable. But I need to be cautious about how my energy use. While it may be very nice to meet new people and enjoy someone’s company, I am also at this time when I only need to maximize my rest. I am in the heart right now. I need to continue maintaining what I have built.

Leaving Norris, it would be nothing more exciting for the rest of the day. The path went through another city, but did not have a service station or anything like that. But that was quite good because I was not far from Ennis. It seemed that it would get there just before 5 pm. Which is so pleasant and early! Once again, one of the best parts is that I am so caught in my edition that I can actually rest. Which is something that has not been able to do much in the city this year.

The rest of the day was incredibly hot and exposed all the time. But it is exactly how they have been the last days. I kept moving forward and I was as hydrated as I could. However, I had a lot to drink. As the day continued, I did a little more work. And I just did what I could to go for the moment.

I ended up getting into Ennis around 4:30 pm and like most of these cities recently, I had to continue for another mile or so until I reached the heart of things. Everything in this area is called Madison for some reason. Which has been quite fun to see, because that is my name. But there are many rivers and valleys in the area with the name of Madison. And the grocery store in the city was called Madison Subjecthing Grocery. I went there before going to Sportsman Lodge to register in my room. I wanted to get everything I would possibly need for the night, so I never had to go again.

Ennis was the perfect city and had everything I needed and something else.

The Sportsman Lodge has small cabin motel rooms. It is quite minimal but has everything you need. And it was the cheapest place in the city. The best part is that they also have a restaurant next to the motel. So, if I wanted to get something more for dinner in addition to the food of the grocery store, then I could do it too.

I have so many drinks and good things in the grocery store. In addition, some things to eat from the microwave, a nectarine, a piece of cake and some other things. I was probably not going to need to go to dinner. Then the shelter was right next to it, which was absolutely perfect. They recorded me immediately and addressed my little trunks to spend the night.

Even the grocery store in the city is named after me. Crazy!

The space was very nice and was excited to enter so early. They did not seem to have laundry, which is a bit annoying. I have not washed clothes since the first night at the CDT. So I’m starting to accumulate the days. I quickly approach the two -week mark to wash my clothes. Which is fun taking into account that I have shower so many times.

In the room, I could at least take a fantastic shower. I connected all the electronic ones I needed to load. It is fun because I have been inside and outside the city so often. But I am using a ton of battery due to all my edition. So I really have to be in him to make sure to recharge everything in my city stays lately. Then I basically started working through the obscene amount of food I bought at the groceries.

For the rest of the night, I passively did some work. And the most surprising thing happened in the world. The Wi-Fi in the Motel in Ennis was possibly the best I’ve had throughout the year. It only took 5 to 10 minutes to load a full length YouTube video. Which means that during the next few hours each of my loaded YouTube videos obtained. That was shocking and very exciting. You could literally take more than one or two hours to get a video. That I was glad! They really are the little things in life.

Due to how easy all that was, I could also do a lot of other things. But none of that was really taking too much energy. I could watch television and relax and eat. It was a great rest of the night. I even used a reasonable time. And tomorrow morning, I hope to have a quite early start.
