Idan Toklomati recorded his first career-hat trick, Kristijan Kahlina made three major rescues to earn his 10th clean magazine of the season, and Charlotte beat Inter Miami 3-0 on Saturday evening for his ninth straight regular season victory.
Charlotte (17-11-2) fixed the MLS record of Seattle 2018 for successive victories in one season, with the exception of the shootout era.
Miami (13-6-7), who played his first regular season match since August 23, was without suspended striker Luis Suárez.
Kahlina denied Lionel Messi’s attempt in the 32nd and Toklomati opened the score two minutes later.

Toklomati added another one in the 47th on a detour after the beautiful centering pass from Brandt Bronico.
After Miami fell to 10 men after the second yellow card of Tomás Avilés in the 79th, Toklomati converted a penalty for his 11th goal of the season five minutes later.
Toklomati joined Andy Williams (1998) as the only players in the history of MLS aged 21 or younger to produce a goal contribution in competitions of seven straight. Toklomati also became the second player in the history of Charlotte who produced a hat trick with a regular season, who came to Daniel Ríos from 2022.
