Paris Saint-Germain Women has made an offer for Alexia Putellas from Barcelona and is «In Discussion» with the double Ballon d’Or winner, AFP Learned on Wednesday from a source close to the negotiations.
The conversations are «already a few days», but they are «fairly limited,» said the source, who confirms reports in various Spanish media.
It is «not certain», the move will take place before the transfer window on Friday closes with midfielder Putellas under contract with Barcelona until 2026 with an optional extra year.
PSG, who has lost star striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto and midfielder Grace Geyoro this summer, has already signed Real Madrid defender and Captain Olga Carmona.
If the conversations with the 31-year-old Putellas and Barcelona are successful, the transfer would be the biggest deal of the summer window.
According to the Spanish press, the World Cup winner of 2023 and the second place of the European Championship has already rejected a four -year contract offer this summer of Parisians with a higher salary than she would earn in Barcelona.
