Day 113 – blueberry milkshakes

LP and I ended up doing 30 miles yesterday so we can get a little closer to Elk Lake Resort. We slept a little and get there just when the restaurant was open for lunch. We ate food, we drank blueberry milkshakes, we drank coffee and then rest until the heat of the day disappeared. Finally I took off around 4:30 and started a lot of time, which was definitely more difficult, considering the amount of pizza in my stomach. Despite the late beginning, we hope to reach 15 miles more or less from McKenzie Pass, so we can take a trip in BLNA tomorrow.

My ankle seems to be almost completely cured, and Oregon’s miles are being easy. Hopefully the path is still clear and easy, since we are for a little night hiking tonight.

At our current rhythm, we must reach the Washington border easily before August 20, if not 19. It will be so fantastic to be at home in Washington and I hope LP and I are still walking together at that time. I can’t wait to show you the paths that I love most.
