Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal has sustained a calf injury, the club said on Sunday, with Spanish media who report that the defender will be out for at least four weeks.
He played eight games in all games this season in Seven of Real’s, but had to come to Atletico Madrid in La Liga after an hour in the 5-2 derby loss on Saturday.
The 33-year-old had returned to action in July for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup after nine months with a front cruciate ligament injury.
«After the tests performed today on our player Carvajal by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he was diagnosed with an injury to the Soleus Spier of his right leg,» Real said in a statement.

The club did not say how long he would be out, but newspaper Marking Said Carvajal sidelined for about a month, which means that he will probably miss Barcelona’s visit on October 26.
Fellow Right Back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Center Back Antonio Rudiger are also injured, so that manager Xabi Alonso does not leave any options in the defense.
Real Next travels to Kazakhstan to record Kairat Almaty in the Champions League on Tuesday.
