One Portuguese fan was admitted to the hospital and two Napoli supporters were arrested after collisions for a Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday.
Cars were damaged and chairs were thrown when the opposite fang groups came into contact in the city center prior to the match in the Stadio Diego Maradona, the Gazzetta Dello Sport reported. It seemed that supporters of Napoli attacked sports fans in a restaurant in the city center and sent tables.

The police were looking for a maximum of seven more suspects who were reportedly involved in the collisions.
It was Napoli’s first home game in the competition since the Partenopei Barcelona organized in the round of 2023-24 of 16. The home team won the game 2-1 thanks to a brace from Rasmus Hojlund.
