Martin Odegaard has been withdrawn from the Norwegian team for his upcoming matches, including a world cup qualification against Israel, due to a knee injury on Premier League obligation with Arsenal, the English club said on Sunday.
Odegaard, who is the captain of Norway, walked early in the 2-0 win of Arsenal over West Ham on West Ham on Saturday a medial collateral ligament on his left knee on Saturday, the club said. It marked the third time this season that he left in the first half of a match due to an injury, where Odegaard also suffered from shoulder problems.

Arsenal did not give an expected time scale for the last absence of Odegaard, and only said that he «will continue to be judged and treated by our medical team … with the aim of returning to action as quickly as possible».
Norway houses Israel on Saturday and then plays a friendly against New Zealand three days later.
