Leeds United said a supporter died after a medical emergency at Elland Road ahead of Sunday’s Premier League draw against Manchester United.
“Leeds United is devastated to confirm that a supporter has sadly passed away ahead of our Premier League match with Manchester United at Elland Road, following a medical emergency at the ground before kick-off,” the club said in a statement.
“The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with the supporter’s family and friends at this exceptionally difficult time.”
Leeds drew 1-1 with United after Brenden Aaronson’s opener for the home side was canceled out by Matheus Cunha.
