Algeria squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup – including Mahrez and Ait-Nouri; Complete list of players

Algeria on Sunday announced its squad that will travel to North America for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Riyad Mahrez and Rayan Aït-Nouri lead the list of 27 players, one of whom will be dropped before the squad submission deadline on June 2.

This will be the African nation’s fifth appearance at the World Cup, with its last appearance coming in 2014 where it lost to eventual champions Germany in the round of 16.

Algeria have been drawn into Group J and will face defending champions Argentina on June 17, before facing Jordan and Austria on June 23 and 28 respectively.

• Midfielders: Nabil Bentaleb, Hicham Boudaoui, Houssem Aouar, Farès Chaïbi, Ibrahim Maza, Yacine Titraoui, Ramiz Zerrouki

• Forwards: Mohamed Amine Amoura, Nadhir Benbouali, Adil Boulbina, Farès Ghedjemis, Amine Gouiri, Anis Hadj Moussa, Riyad Mahrez
