Barcelona claims the Spanish treble for the women’s Champions League final

Barcelona’s dominant women’s side completed a domestic treble by beating Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the Copa de la Reina final on Saturday.

Claudia Pina, Esmee Brugts and Salma Paralluelo scored for Barça as Pere Romeu’s team won the trophy for the third time in a row and a record twelfth time overall.

Liga F and Spanish Super Cup winners Barca have won the Copa de la Reina in six of the past seven seasons, with Atletico lifting the trophy in 2023.

Barcelona will be aiming for a quadruple victory next weekend when they face French giants Lyon in the Champions League final.
