Blowing mockery rockets – the walk

Mochos rockets with more frequently than you travel these days.

Dust, dry time, to remind myself that I enrolled in this.

Finally, along the way!

My husband and I stayed in the Warner Valley camp during the first two nights. We bought fresh fruit and some additional soft drinks for any hiker that arrived. I published that we would be there in Farout (the social media application/guide for the PCT). Many hikers appeared and we had a great time, relaxing and meeting us. They ate all our food on one night, so Kevin had to go shopping. The next night, several other hikers arrived. Obviously, this little magic of trails beat me a bit of reputation on the road before I begins.

My last real food for a moment.

Burned desolation

He has already been challenging. The first day was mainly through a burned area. A desolate landscape with skeletal trees and shrubs. The path had this fine dust that got into his shoes and approached between the fingers of his feet. This gave way to a pine forest where the trees were disturbing perfectly spaced, so it was clearly a rethink of a logming company.

A desolate landscape exposed in Lassen National Park

Walk in something like an African savanna. Too bad the photo does not radiate heat!

There are probably 20 hikers in BMGR taking zero days (days in which they do not walk at all), including several people of my first two nights of trail magic! It was nice to see so many family faces.

I definitely need to reconsider my approach here. I can’t do all these very long days, not until I’m sure my body can handle it. This place is great, so I will stay here for another day and then I will do a longer day.
