Bosnia and Herzegovina qualifies for the 32nd round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday became the twelfth team to qualify for the 32nd round of the FIFA World Cup.

This is Bosnia’s first ever qualification for the knockout stages of the tournament.

Bosnia’s position was confirmed at the end of the Group C results, where Scotland were defeated 0–3 to finish with three points. It means only seven other third-placed teams can finish with four points or more, securing Bosnia’s place in the knockouts.

Sergej Barbarez’s men ended their group match with four points after a 3-1 win over Qatar earlier in the day.

The 2026 edition will be Bosnia’s second ever appearance at the World Cup.
