Five-time world champions Brazil will have their eyes on the pre-quarter-finals when they take on Asian heavyweights Japan in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Japan drew 2-2 with the Netherlands, defeated Tunisia 5-1 and secured a place in the knockouts after a 1-1 draw with Sweden. Brazil, on the other hand, opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw before beating Haiti and Scotland 3-0.
Brazil were humiliated by Japan last year when they lost 2-3 in an international friendly, and Carlo Ancelotti’s boys will look to settle the score on the stage that matters most on Monday.
