Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes broke the Premier League assist record during his side’s final match against Brighton on Sunday.
Fernandes created United’s opener by whipping in a corner from the right, which was headed in by Patrick Dorgu, marking his 21st assist of the season.
This saw the Portuguese midfielder overtake Arsenal’s Thierry Henry and Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne, who both provided 20 assists each in 2002-03 and 2019-20 respectively.
On Saturday, Fernandes was named Premier League player of the season.
