One thing has been on our minds for a couple of days: the World Cup! We’re not so ignorant as to think we can watch every game, but today it might work!
The first game we want to see starts at 1 pm and the best place to watch it is the Mexican restaurant in Pearisburg. The only problem: it’s 11 miles away. But Neville from Woods Hostel made it easy. She has to go into town anyway, so she offered to pack us up. It doesn’t matter if we do it!
During the walk, I’ve been teaching Dreamcatcher some Dutch. She’s actually pretty good at this! Learning new words, how to conjugate verbs, asking my dad how he is and most importantly: how to cheer on Holland during the game! It’s a surprisingly fun little side activity.

Go Holland, go!
We arrived at the crossroads, were taken to the resting place of the Angels and pitched our tents in the courtyard. We’ve been spoiled with beds for quite some time, camping is fine for today. We arrived just in time to go to the Mexican restaurant to play soccer. Young Blood, a southbound hiker, decided to join us.

We ate something, watched the game and played pool. It was a great day! Let’s resupply and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day. But not before Doohickey and PK took a ride on the speeder!
