Colombia announced its 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday, with former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez making the squad for the tournament.
Bayern Munich striker Luis Diaz will captain Nestor Lorenzo’s side in the battle for their first World Cup title. Defender Jhon Duran, who plays for the Saudi Al Nassr, was one of the notable absentees.
Colombia failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals and were eliminated in the Round of 16 by England on penalties in 2018. Its best result came in the 2014 edition when it reached the quarter-finals, losing to Brazil.
In 2026, it will be drawn into Group K, where it will face title contenders Portugal, Uzbekistan and DR Congo.
