cold morning
The morning we woke up at Wise Shelter in Grayson Highlands was a cold morning. Temperatures had fallen just below freezing the night before. But we had to move early because we planned to walk 20 miles. We put on our base layers, wool mid layers and wrapped ourselves in our waterproof jackets. Each of us tries to keep our hands warm.
