Well, the first day of our SOBO AT adventure was eventful to say the least. Our transportation left the Appalachian Trail Hostel in Millinocket at 6:00 am and we were able to begin our hike up Mount Katahdin at 7:15. The storms were supposed to arrive in the afternoon, and we were on track to reach the top and be well below the tree line by then. What could go wrong?
