It is still morning when we reach a gigantic slab of rock where we can see mountains behind large pieces of trees. We are all still wearing our fleeces, except Luxy, as we stare at the rock iceberg we stand on.
This giant rock landscape is amazing.
We walked down a long stone slide close together.
A beautiful mighty river sings over our steps. A rock formation slides into the water on one side and a sloping rock wall that looks like a wide staircase on the other side. The river crosses on a stone path.
Ten minutes later we crossed a beautiful waterfall, Tuolumne Falls, and it looks like it belongs at a five-star resort.
Water falls down giant steps as the water hits the walls and creates a fog around us.
We walk through an open field. We are surrounded by tall trees and I can see the mountains in the distance. The sky is made up of layers of blue and faint white.
After lunch we reached another rock slab with water running down it. It should go on like this for a mile!
I pass warty trees and a large black-striped rock wall. The sky is a little gray now. The path runs briefly along the wall. I stare at the cracks in the turtle shell as I pass.
A little later, I’m looking at mountains and trees with curved tips blown by the wind.
What a view!
We camped at Wilson Creek and settled in for the night. This has been a day filled with so much beauty!
