«Where’s my toothbrush?» Rafiki wanders. «I put it here.» Point to a rock. «Tails, did you steal my toothbrush?»

“No,” I say as I pack my suitcase.

«Something stole my toothbrush! Well. I guess the groundhog with the whitest teeth is to blame. I just got it three days ago!» he says.

It’s good that you have a backup toothbrush.

We walked through a grassy meadow with a winding path. The mountain has a top gilded by the morning sun and a shady bottom. The line cuts diagonally through the mountains. The moon is still just above the highest peak.

I’m walking behind Luxy. Our feet crunch loudly against the floor with every step.

As I walk, the rocks next to me are so white that they look more like a snowy pyramid with a few pine trees scattered over it. I walk down a narrow dirt path that my giant shoes don’t quite fit.

We passed through a beautiful blue afternoon with the same mounds of white rocks piled up around it. The mountains before us have horizontal scars drawn across them.

Our open walk turns into a closed forest with Green, flexible plants lining the path.

The white rock with black stripes enters the scene. The sky is a bright blue with puffy white clouds. Beside us there are small rocks scattered.

All I can see is white rock! Mountains of that! Small broken rocks are scattered on the ground.

We rest and fall to the ground. Toady has gained a ton of elevation so far!

We came to a river crossing and crossed a long trunk with many pruned branches. Rafiki starts to cross it and, halfway there, he starts jumping extravagantly with his hands moving back and forth like Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

The lake we passed is like a mirror reflecting tall, thin trees.

We finally arrived at the campsite at Wilmer Lake. I’m on my way to my tent after fetching water.

“Is there good water intake?” —Luxy asks.

«There is, but it was infested with mosquitoes. You’re not going to bathe in it, are you?» say.

Luxy laughs and runs off towards the water.

That girl would bathe in anything if it meant being clean!

What a long day! I hide from the mosquitoes in my tent and soon it’s time to sleep.

I let the dream take me.
