Departure from the Premier League: Sancho and Casemiro leave Manchester United, Bissouma leaves Tottenham

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma are among the players to be released by their Premier League clubs at the end of their contracts.

Sancho joined from Borussia Dortmund for €85m in 2021 but has struggled to make an impact, making just 83 appearances during his five years at the club. He has also been loaned out to Dortmund, Chelsea and, most recently, Aston Villa.

United confirmed on Wednesday that Brazilian midfielder Casemiro and left back Tyrell Malacia are also leaving the club.

Bissouma, a Malian international, moved from Brighton to Tottenham in 2022 for 25 million pounds ($30.5 million) and has made 111 appearances for the London club, including the Europa League final victory over Manchester United in 2025.

Over the past year he had fallen down the pecking order among Tottenham’s central midfielders.

Tottenham, who only survived relegation on the final day of the recently concluded season, have handed defender Ben Davies a new contract.
