FIFA U-17 World Cup 2026 group stage – former champions France and Saudi Arabia to go head-to-head


The group stage draw for the 21st edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup has been announced, with former champions France and Saudi Arabia included in the same group.

They are joined by Uruguay and Haiti in Group D.

The pair are among four former champions who will take part in the tournament, with Brazil and Mexico also part of the competition.

However, defending champions Portugal will not be part of the tournament, having failed to qualify.

The 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup will take place from November 19 to December 13, with hosts Qatar taking on Panama in the opening match of the tournament.
