Canada begins its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign at home against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the co-hosts looking for their first victory in the tournament.

Bosnia come into the Group B opener as underdogs but coach Sergej Barbarez said his players will carry pride and heart ahead of their first World Cup match in 12 years.

Bosnia will look to progress past the group stage this time after recording one win on their debut in Brazil in 2014.

Bosnia claimed one of the last six places at the World Cup after beating three-time champions Italy in a penalty shootout.
