Former Kerala Blasters striker Duckens Nazon was named as one of the substitutes for Haiti in the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Scotland at the Boston Stadium.
Nazon had a brief stint in ISL during the 2016-17 season and scored twice in his seven matches for the Kochi-based franchise.
The 32-year-old currently plays football in Iran for Esteghlal, where he has scored once in ten games since joining in 2025.
Nazon is his country’s all-time top scorer with 44 goals and is likely to become only the second Haitian to score at a World Cup after Sanon, who found the net twice in 1974.
