India defeated Bangladesh with a 3-1 win to clinch a record-extending sixth SAFF Women’s Championship title at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa, on Saturday.
This is India’s first title since 2019, denying Bangladesh the chance to win the crown for the third time in a row.
Pyari Xaxa, Sanfida Nongrum and Lynda Kom found the back of the net for the Blue Tigresses. Ritu Porna Chakma scored the only goal for the visitor.
