The Indian men’s football team fell further three places in FIFA’s live rankings to 139 from Sunday after a series of disappointing performances.
The Blue Tigers are on a three-match losing streak after suffering back-to-back defeats in the 2026 Unity Cup, then losing to Tajikistan in the first of two international friendlies.
India will play Tajikistan in the second friendly match on June 9.
In the previous FIFA rankings update on April 1, the Khalid Jamil-coached side had risen five places to 136 following the 2-1 win over Hong Kong, China in the final match of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.
However, India suffered losses against Jamaica (0-2), Zimbabwe (0-1) and Tajikistan (1-3).
