My wife picked me up from Pennsylvania for my first scratch tour and gave me the best inspiration I could ever hope to receive. It’s from my friend Tom F. He’s an amazing drummer, as well as one of the nicest people I know. Everyone in my small town knows Tom.
This inspiration piece doesn’t look all that impressive, just a 3-4 inch drumstick (cutaway drumstick to be exact), but it’s much more than that.
Tom and I are on journeys, but very different ones. As I climb the AT, Tom is on a journey of recovery, following a life-changing accident. Your journey is much more difficult than mine. I think about my friend every day and now a part of him walks with me.
