Karim Benzema wins another trophy in Saudi Arabia while Al Hilal wins the Saudi Kings’ Cup

Karim Benzema continued to win trophies in Saudi Arabia as his side, Al Hilal, won the Saudi King’s Cup on Friday, beating Al Kholood 2-1 in the final.

Theo Hernandez scored deep into first-half stoppage time as Al Hilal claimed bragging rights, while coach Simone Inzaghi won the club’s first trophy.

Al Kholood took an early lead through Ramiro Enrique, the Argentinian striker who shot in from close range in the fourth minute after surrounding goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

Al Hilal leveled just before the break when Nasser Al-Dawsari struck in the 42nd minute, before Hernandez arrived at the far post moments later to complete the turnaround.

It was another major trophy in Saudi football for former French striker Karim Benzema, who continued to secure silverware at the age of 38. He had also won the last edition of the tournament, albeit in different colors.
