Marseille midfielder Bilal Nadir is in good health but is undergoing a “full medical check-up” after falling off the ball during the Ligue 1 draw against Angers, his club said on Thursday.
The 21-year-old went down in the 86th minute at the Stade Velodrome on Wednesday, seemingly alone, with the ball not in play, just 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
He was surrounded by concerned players from both teams before being stretchered away.
“The player did not lose consciousness at the time of the incident,” Marseille said in a statement.

“When he was attended to by the club’s medical staff and emergency services on site, all his vital signs were found to be normal.
«As a precaution, Bilal Nadir was transferred to hospital for a full medical evaluation. He is in good condition and remains under observation.»
Marseille conceded a late equalizer to Angers and missed the chance to usurp Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1.
