Mexico became the first team to qualify for the round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after edging past South Korea 1-0 in their Group A match in Guadalajara on Thursday.
Luis Romo scored the winner in the 50th minute, tapping home after South Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu spilled a high ball after colliding with his own teammate.
