Miguel Figueira leaves East Bengal for Mohun Bagan after ISL title-winning season

During the World Cup, Mohun Bagan Super Giant signed dynamic Brazilian midfielder Miguel Figueira Damasceno.

The Green-and-Maroons have agreed a two-year deal with the reigning ISL Golden Ball winner. After playing in Serie A, Miguel first attracted attention after arriving on the Asian continent playing for a club in Bangladesh.

The Brazilian midfielder spent three successful seasons with Bangladesh champions Bashundhara Kings before making the move to India last year.

In his debut season in Indian football, Miguel played a crucial role in East Bengal’s title-winning campaign, gaining recognition as the tournament’s best player and lifting the coveted Ballon d’Or.

As an attacking midfielder, this twenty-six-year-old Brazilian footballer can not only strengthen the midfield, but also make accurate, targeted passes. Last season in the ISL, apart from scoring two goals in twelve matches, he provided five assists.

«I played for three years in the best club in Bangladesh, Bashundhara Kings. I made them champions in the league. Last year I also played in India.
