I woke up at 3:00 am with a splitting headache, but full of anticipation. I was expecting a 7 hour trip, but on a very familiar road. My daughter was waiting for me in Kedgwick, New Brunswick, to take me to the trailhead, another hour and a half away.
We arrived at the US border near Perth-Andover at 3:00 pm, just as the heavy rain finally stopped.
