Newcastle defender Tino Livramento has undergone minor surgery after a calf injury and is expected to return during pre-season, the Premier League club said on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the England squad’s training in June and was subsequently left out of the World Cup squad, to be replaced by Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
“Newcastle United can confirm that Tino Livramento has successfully undergone minor surgery,” the club said in a statement.
«The defender… is expected to return in pre-season.»
