Norway became the latest team to secure a place in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after beating Senegal 3-2 on Monday.
Norway, who had previously defeated Iraq, will now progress from Group I to the knockouts together with France.
The Scandinavian side took advantage of a second-half double from star striker Erling Haaland to beat Senegal. This is only the second time that Norway has qualified for the knockout stages of the World Cup, after the round of 16 in 1998.
First place in Group 1 will be determined by the match between Norway and France on June 27.
So far, six teams have secured their spot in the Round of 32 stage:
- Mexico (Group A)
- United States (Group D)
- Germany (Group E)
- Argentina (Group J)
- France (Group I)
- Norway (Group I)
