Martin Dubravka became Tottenham Hotspur’s fourth signing in a busy off-season on Wednesday, a move expected to open the door for Guglielmo Vicario to leave the club.
Experienced former Newcastle and Manchester United stopper Dubravka will join on a free transfer after leaving Burnley at the end of last season.
“Tottenham is one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started,” said Dubravka.
Antonin Kinsky usurped Vicario as first choice under Roberto De Zerbi towards the end of the season, as Spurs narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.

According to reports, Kinsky will keep his place at Vicario, ready for a return to Italy.
Dubravka joins Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke in De Zerbi’s rebuild at Spurs.
“I am very happy because Martin is a goalkeeper with a lot of experience and a strong mentality,” said De Zerbi.
“He has very important qualities for me and will bring balance, leadership and competitiveness to our dressing room.”
