Davi Carvajal was one of the key names missing when Spain announced its provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Spanish newspapers Marking And AS diaryhead coach Luis de la Fuente has drawn up a list of his potential squad for the final tournament, scheduled between June 11 and July 20.
Spain, which won the European Championship in 2024, will start the tournament as one of the favorites. However, it will be sweating over the fitness of first-team stars such as Rodri – winner of the Ballon d’Or – and Lamine Yamal, who finished behind him on that list.
La Roja Furia have been drawn with Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Cape Verde and will start their campaign against Cape Verde on June 15.
