The Round of 32 match between Australia and Egypt will be officiated by Uruguay referee Gustavo Tejera.
This will be the South American official’s second match in charge, with his previous match taking place during the group stage match between Mexico and South Korea.
Tejera mainly competes in the Liga AUF Apertura (Uruguay’s top tier) and has been a FIFA-approved referee since 2018.
