Brazil will take on Scotland in their final match in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a single point enough to seal progression to the round of 16.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men started their campaign with a hard-fought draw against Morocco before a comfortable 3-0 win over Haiti put them on the brink of qualification.
However, the five-time champions will have to make do without the services of winger Raphinha, who has been ruled out of the match.
The Barcelona star retired midway through the match against Haiti and had to be substituted in the 40th minute. He was replaced by Bournemouth winger Rayan, who will take his place in the starting eleven against Scotland.
Brazil have announced that he will remain with the squad and continue his rehabilitation. “I will do everything I can to recover and return as soon as possible,” he posted on social media.
The 29-year-old has had an injury-plagued season at Barcelona with recurring hamstring injuries.
He came to the World Cup with 15 goals and 5 assists for Barca, where it won the La Liga and Supercopa trophies.
