Al Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, will face Turkmen side FC Arkadag in the AFC Champions League 2 knockouts, as was decided on Tuesday during the round of 16 draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.
Nassr scored a whopping 22 goals and conceded just two, while Turkmenistan’s Arkadag scored five and conceded six in their six group matches.
Arkadag had defeated Indian Super League side East Bengal in the AFC Challenge League last season and will look to beat the odds against the Saudi powerhouse this time.
This season, ACL 2 had two Indian teams, FC Goa and Mohun Bagan Super Giant, in the group stage.
While the former played all the group stage matches, although losing them all, the latter refused to travel after the first group stage match at home, eventually receiving a two-season ban from the federation.
