Liverpool agrees for the deal for the Kerkez of Bournemouth: reports

Liverpool has agreed to sign Bournemouth Left-Back Milos Kerkez in a deal with a value of £ 40 million (USD 54 million), according to reports on Friday.

Kerkez will travel to Merseyside for a medical before he completes his move to the Premier League champion.

The 21-year-old caught the eye of Liverpool last season with his fine form for Bournemouth, including two goals and five assists in 38 Premier League performances.

Richard Hughes, Sporting director of Liverpool, brought Kerkez to Bournemouth of AZ Alkmaar during his time at the Vitality Stadium.

Kerkez, born in Serbia, started his career with the Hungarian outfit Gyor before moving to AC Milan, where he did not succeed in appearing the Serie A Club.

He joined the Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in 2022 and arrived a year later in the Premier League with Bournemouth.

The coming arrival of Kerkez near Anfield raises questions about the future of Liverpool left back Andrew Robertson, who is linked to Atletico Madrid.

Kerkez becomes the last signing of Liverpool in a busy summer transfer window for Boss Arne Slot.

The Reds have already secured the signature of Dutch right back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid.

Liverpool is also about to sign Leverkusen’s Germany game maker Florian Wirtz, after reporting a fee that could rise to a British record £ 116 million.

Wirtz is supposed to have undergone a medical with Liverpool on Friday prior to the official confirmation of his transfer.
