82-84 days, feeling slowly to a 30 mile in a nor’easter the next day

Day 82: Good morning at Mass. We walk 25.7 miles. He walked the last 10 miles with bridges. It was fun to hear all his stories and spent time. Today I felt that I couldn’t keep up with eating. I felt slow and I had many moments of low energy in which I felt that my blood sugar was low. Today I reached electrolytes to help compact slowness. I was yearning food (protein -rich foods) had no meat and cheese. We did a poor job with our replenishment in New York, we get enough food but not enough protein foods so that they get on the way. New York was wonderful, but I feel that we did not put enough energy in our replenishment and I feel the results. Bridges generously gave my father and a protein bar. I kept mine for tomorrow. At the end of the day, he landed in a camp where there were two section hikers established on the store platforms. My dad and I found a place to camp nearby and Bridges also found a place nearby.

Day 83: Left camp with bridges this morning. Good day of hiking. We walk 24 miles. I was very happy to have the protein bar that gave me Bridges, I felt that it gave me a boost. We continue eating something on the way on every hour. A transport selection took us at 5:30 pm to lead us to replenish, and a local hotel to regroup before Nor’easter tomorrow. It would be intelligent for us zero tomorrow, but we are going to advance. We relable before arriving at the near hotel and walking towards a nearby brewery. The way real food makes me feel incredible. I felt like a completely new person, no longer slow. Probably because I ate a meal full of proteins, hamburgers and fries and a salad. Once we returned to the hotel, I got a chocolate ice cream for the room. While I ate my ice cream in bed, we face our family and, to surprise, it did not surprise that they were talking about the weather tomorrow, but they were not surprised that I went to walk tomorrow. We go to bed at a decent hour to rest for a difficult day tomorrow in unfavorable conditions.

Day 84: We ate a solid for breakfast at the hotel’s lobby while we observed the rain. Then they transferred us to the beginning of the path. Bridges declared in a shelter about 2 miles on the path and met us when we arrived this morning. We decided to do a 30 Miler today to get to North Adams, Massachusetts. We knew it would be a crucial stay in a warm and dry place tonight. We had not yet done a 30 Miler on our walk and we thought that today it would probably be our last opportunity to make a 30 Miler before the land of northern New England really begins. To about 8 miles today, we walked through a city and stopped at a service station. My dad and I have pizza and I grabbed and grabbed some other snacks and we also bought a couple of protein bars to return to the bridges what he gave us. The first 20 miles were not bad because it was on and out of light light, we expected the weather to be much worse. However, after 20 miles it became windy, rainy and colder, especially in higher elevations in Graylock Mountain. In a positive note, I felt well fed and strong again due to our nutritious diet last night and this morning. Once we accumulate Graylock, we regroup ourselves in a beautiful stone shelter with a fireplace. My gloves were soaked in my hands began to feel quite cold. We still had a decrease of 7 miles north of Adams, so I wanted to heat my hands before descending. I took a couple of dry socks to use as gloves to take me for the rest of the walk. We are a fast snack and we left when even standing at the shelter we cool quickly. I could not use my posts because my thumbs were restricted in the socks, but I didn’t care that my priority was to keep my hands hot. While we descended, the wind and the rain were at its highest point for the day and it was cooling even more. My socks in my hands were soaked and my hands were cooling. My dad asked me to get something out of his backpack and I couldn’t even hold on to whatever I was because of him because my hands were so cold that I was starting to lose motor skills in my hands. My dad’s hands were cold but not as cold as mine. He gave me his fleece hat to heat my hands. I had my two hands wrapped in his companion garbage for the rest of the walk. It helped significantly, the coldness in my hands became bearable. I couldn’t wait to go down north of Adams. I had to get out of my head down and walk. Very soon, we arrived north of Adams and made a transport service bring us to a nearby hotel. We do some food, we washed, ate and went to bed. We were exhausted but we felt achieved.
