Javier Mascherano has stepped down as coach of Inter Miami for personal reasons, the club announced on Tuesday.
Appointed in November 2024, Mascherano guided Inter Miami to its first-ever MLS Cup title and Eastern Conference championship as the team set a league record with 101 goals in the regular season and postseason.
“I would like to let everyone know that for personal reasons I have decided to end my tenure as head coach of Inter Miami CF,” Mascherano said in a club statement.
