Jeff Oliver, also known as Ibtat, in super triple crowning, Scottish National Trail and Kungsleden Trail (BPR #323)

In today’s episode of Backpacker Radio, presented by The Trek that brings Lmnt, Jeff Oliver, better known on the path and online as Ibtat. In addition to building great monitoring on YouTube and Instagram, Ibtat will be a family voice for backpacking radio listeners for a long time, since it was part of our first season of trail correspondents. We immerse ourselves in the history of Ibtat, including his trip to 12 years of sobriety, going from drinking two quintos of liquor a day to cut alcohol in cold turkey during the night, and the dangerous side effects that followed. We also cover its more than 11,000 miles of trekking in the last seven years, including triple Crown Trails, Scottish National Trail, C & O Channel Towpath and the Kungsleden path of Sweden. Finally, being a photographer and talented cameraman, Ibtat shares expert advice in choosing the right camera and capturing quality photos and videos during his walks.

Sassafras, Double Dip and I wrap the program with a call so that this year to Thru-Hikers to take the APalaACHES SURVEY OF THE APALACHES OF 2025, we think about how it will be seen in 2035 (and we look how it has changed in the last decade), we find the precise point in which a walk becomes a tour, Sass and Katie Alignment (providing the advice and the outdoor council (providing the advice and inspiration to become a walk that becomes a walk. tracks), and we make the triple crown of cooking tips and hacks.
