Brazil vs Norway player ratings – Haaland brace sends Carlo Ancelotti & Co packing

Erling Haaland found two late goals to give Norway a 2-1 victory over Brazil in their Round of 16 match in New Jersey on Sunday.

After both teams squandered chances, the Norwegian striker got behind Andreas Schjelderup’s cross from the left wing and beat Alisson in the 79th minute. He scored the goal again in the 90th minute after firing a shot outside the penalty area to seal the result.

In the first half, Bruno Guimaraes missed a penalty in the 13th minute after Matheus Cunha was fouled by Kristoffer Ajer.

Neymar converted from the spot in second-half stoppage time after a foul on Casemiro, but it was too little too late for Brazil to salvage the result.

Norway now faces the winner of the Round of 16 match between England and Mexico.
