Club World Cup 2025: Dortmund holds Monterrey to reach a quarterfinals; Put Real Madrid’s collision

Borussia Dortmund stopped a movable second half of Monterrey on Tuesday to complete the quarter-final line-up of the club World Cup with a 2-1 win in a round-of-16 thriller in the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Tuesday.

Clinical finishes of Serhou Guirassy in the 14th and 24th minutes put Dortmund at the top during the break, but the German Berterame hit back for Monterrey in the 48th minute, and the Mexican club pressed an equalizer to the last whistle.

The Dortmund defense, however, stipulated to set up a last eight meeting with 15-time European champions Real Madrid in New Jersey on Saturday.

However, there will be no reunion for the Bellingham family, with a yellow card shown to Dortmund’s Jobe in the 28th minute that reigns him from the collision with Big Brother Jude’s Real.
