England won the first group match 4-2, led by a brace from captain Harry Kane. Ghana, on the other hand, secured a late 1-0 victory over Panama, thanks to a 95th-minute winner from Caleb Yirenkyi.
A win for both teams puts them at the top of the group and guarantees qualification for the next round. While a draw wouldn’t mathematically guarantee qualification for the next round, it would put both in a strong position for qualification.
